This page is an English translation provided for convenience. Our company is established in Turkiye and these notices are issued under Turkish law; in the event of any discrepancy, the Turkish original prevails.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the degirmen.tr website collects from visitors, why it collects it and how it is used. Every page on the site falls within its scope.
What the site collects
There is a single point of data collection on this site: the quote form. It contains only the following fields:

Beyond this, if you give your consent, cookies that measure site usage are used. Details are set out in the Cookie Policy section.
What the site does not collect
In the interests of transparency — none of the following exist on this site:
- Membership, account creation or passwords
- Payment collection, or entry of card or bank details
- Requests for national ID number, date of birth or similar identity data
- File or document upload
- Requests for special-category personal data such as health, religion or political opinion
Where the information is held
Quote form data is not saved to the website server. The site uses no database. When you complete the form, the details you enter are turned into a WhatsApp message and sent from your own WhatsApp account to our company number. The record is therefore created not on the website, but in our company WhatsApp account and on our company phone.
In addition, as with any website, the hosting server keeps standard access logs. Because these contain IP addresses they qualify as personal data, and they are used solely for security and technical fault investigation.
Who the information is shared with
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) — to deliver the quote message. The messaging infrastructure is provided by Meta.
- Google (Google Analytics) — only if you have given cookie consent, for site usage statistics.
- Authorised public authorities — where required by law, limited to the scope requested.
Beyond these, your information is never sold, rented or transferred to any third party for marketing purposes.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS; traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted. Because there is no database, admin panel or file upload area storing user data, there is no data store exposed to attack.
Minors
The site is aimed at businesses purchasing industrial machinery and equipment. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
This policy is updated as needed. The date of the version in force is shown in the Last updated field at the top of this page.

Personal Data Protection Notice (KVKK)
Pursuant to Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, we inform you of the following in our capacity as data controller.

2. Personal data processed and method of collection
If you complete the quote form on our website, your personal data is collected by means that are not wholly automated and strictly limited to the information you enter yourself:

Our site collects no special-category personal data. As it has no membership, payment or document upload features, no processing takes place through those channels either.

- Contacting you about your enquiry
- Meeting after-sales support and spare part requests
- Maintaining the security of the website and resolving technical faults

4. Legal basis for processing

6. Transfer abroad
Because of the infrastructure of their providers, the WhatsApp (Meta) and Google Analytics services in the table above may result in personal data being processed on servers located outside Turkiye. Such transfers fall within Article 9 of the Law.
Both transfers rely on your explicit consent under Article 9. Consent is obtained as follows:
- Google Analytics: by choosing Accept on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Unless you do so — or if you choose Essential only — no data whatsoever is sent to Google.
- WhatsApp (Meta): when you submit the quote form. Before submission, a note directly beneath the form states that the details you enter will be sent via WhatsApp and links to this notice; carrying out the submission constitutes your declaration of explicit consent.
You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time. For cookie consent, use the Reset my cookie preference button in the Cookie Policy section; for anything else, reach us through the application routes below. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can also request a quote by phone or e-mail.
7. Retention periods
Your personal data is retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose of processing, taking into account the limitation periods laid down in the applicable legislation. At the end of that period it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

At the end of these periods your personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised. Your right to request deletion without waiting for the period to expire is reserved; such a request is assessed under the conditions in Article 7 of the Law.
8. Your rights under Article 11 of the Law
By applying to the data controller, you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- request information if it has been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose,
- know the third parties in Turkiye or abroad to whom it has been transferred,
- request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly,
- request deletion or destruction under the conditions in Article 7 of the Law,
- request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
- object to an adverse outcome arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems,
- claim compensation if you suffer loss because of unlawful processing.

You may submit requests concerning the rights above, together with information identifying you and the subject of your request, by one of the following routes:

Depending on its nature, your application is concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. Where the process incurs a separate cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Board may be charged.

dg-cerez-onay is not technically a cookie; it is never sent to any server and stays only in your browser. It is essential so the site can remember your preference, and therefore requires no separate consent.
How consent works
On your first visit you will see a cookie banner at the bottom of the page. Until you decide, no analytics cookie is written and no request is sent to Google.
- Accept: Google Analytics loads and the cookies above are written.
- Essential only: Google Analytics never loads. Any Google cookies written earlier are deleted.
The fonts used on the site are hosted on our own server, so no request goes to any external service to load a typeface.
Changing your preference
You can withdraw your consent at any time. When you do, any Google Analytics cookies written earlier are deleted as well.
Deleting from your browser
You can also delete or completely block cookies from your browser settings. Blocking cookies on this site disables nothing; the catalogue, search and quote form continue to work normally.
